The Perfect EDC Knife?

I generally have a knife with me in much the way, and for much the same reason, that I generally have a multi-tool with me…they come in handy more often than you’d think.

The knife I currently EDC is the Eafengrow EF65, a simple and unassuming pocket folder with a lot of things going for it.

Simplicity is the main reason for liking this knife; it has everything you need in an EDC knife and nothing you don’t.

An example of this simplicity is that the knife opens by pushing on the nubbin of steel from the blade sticking up out of the back of the knife when it’s closed… this opens the knife, without buttons or springs, and then forms a guard to stop your hand from slipping up to the blade in case the knife got wet or slippery (although the G10 handles are amazingly grippy, in my experience, even when wet or oily).
